Richard graduated from the Citadel in 1985 with a BS in Civil Engineering. He worked at Gulfstream for 17 years in the Facilities Engineering Department. Feeling God’s call into ministry, Richard left Gulfstream and enrolled at Columbia International University. In 2007, he received his Master’s degree in Theology while he worked full time in his father’s cabinet business.

Richard has been attending Bloomingdale Alliance Church since he was 17 years old. He has grown in spiritual maturity at Bloomingdale. Over the years, Richard has served in various positions including Governing Board Member, Building Chairman, Youth Sponsor, Choir Member, Youth and Adult Bible Teacher, Elder, and Associate Pastor.

Richard's passion is seeing people grow in the Grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ by communicating the goodness of God through His authoritative Word. 

Richard is married his beautiful wife, Kendra. They have been blessed with four children: Karlee, Daniel, Brett and Jake; son-in-law, Zach; daughter-in-law, Emily; and grandchildren, Lydia & Benjamin.
